3-21 July 2006 UQ St Lucia Campus, Brisbane, QLD Please click the page reload button before viewing this page, as changes to this website are being made regularlyRegistration In order to register for the Graduate School, applicants must complete the online registration form as well as providing a one page cv (including a short summary of thesis topic/research interests), an abstract of no more than 250 words (1/2 page) for the seminar they intend to present and a letter of recommendation from their supervisor, head of department or equivalent. Note that presentation of a seminar is mandatory. International students should check the International Students page for additional application requirements.Since there is a maximum of 25 places per theme, applicants
will be selected on the basis of academic merit. In case the theme
you are primarily interested in is full, please indicate on the form
whether you would be interested in participating in one of the other
themes. Students from AMSI institutions outside the Brisbane metropolitan region can apply for subsidies covering travel and accommodation expenses (see Accommodation page for details). There are also some subsidies available for international students and early career academics (see International Students page for details). A number of lectures at the Graduate School will be videotaped. It is a requirement of attendance that applicants give consent to the use of their recorded image for non-profit educational purposes. Please send all documents at the same time by mail, fax or
email to the IAGSM Coordinator using the addresses listed at the
bottom of this page. All applicants from Australia will need to pay
your registration fee at the time of registering; however, they will be reimbursed
if their application is unsuccessful. International students must pay the
registration fee within two weeks of being notified whether their application
for subsidy was successful. Applications will be accepted until all places in Geometric Analysis, Computation and Mathematical Physics are filled. Applications will be processed when all paper work is received.
