Overview
The ICE-EM Australian Graduate School in Mathematics for 2005 is funded
by the Australian Government through the Department of Education,
Science and Training.
This year, advanced courses are being offered on the three themes of Algebraic
Structures,
Dynamical Systems and Stochastic Processes. These courses are
aimed at postgraduate students in mathematics and cognate disciplines and will be presented by
distinguished overseas-based researchers.
In addition to the lecture courses, attendees will have the opportunity to
present their own research during the Graduate School. Each attendee will be required to present a seminar of
approximately 1 hour in duration on a topic related to their research
interests.
The Stochastic Processes theme is now full, but there are a few
places available in Dynamical Systems and Algebraic Structures.
Applications will be assessed as they are received, and will be
accepted until places in the theme are filled.
