International Students

International students are encouraged to attend ICE-EM's first Australian Graduate School in Mathematics, to be held at The University of Queensland in Brisbane, Queensland. Distinguished overseas-based researchers will teach advanced courses on the three themes of Algebraic Structures, Dynamical systems and Stochastic Processes. The courses will be aimed at postgraduate students in mathematics and cognate disciplines.

The registration fee is $AU550 (which includes GST) for the full three weeks.

Subsidies for Asian University Students and Academics

Two opportunities are available to doctoral students or early career academics from Asian universities to participate in the Graduate School. Subsidies are available for either Algebraic Structures or Dynamical Systems. They cover tuition fees and room and board (valued at approximately $US 1200), but not international or domestic travel.

Applicants must be enrolled or employed in a university in China, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Taiwan, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, The Philippines, Thailand or Myanmar. They should have English language skills equivalent to IELTS level 6.5.

Applicants should submit both a registration form and subsidy application form, which can be found on the registration page.
