Matt Dean comments: "I used xfig which is on our Unix system in the maths dept at U.Q. In xfig you can draw precise, line-type diagrams, add text, move things around on the page, and I think, insert pictures from elsewhere. The page can be any size. Once this was completed, we made it a pdf file, checked it again using acroread, then emailed it to Frank Audsley at the school office (email f.audsley@earth.uq.edu.au) and he printed it. Then it cost $18.50 to laminate at the copy shop in the union complex."
