Modelling and Decision Making in Ecological Systems
Special Session (Session E11 within the Environment and Ecology stream)
19th Biennial Congress on Modelling and Simulation
(MODSIM2011)
Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, Perth, Western Australia,
12-16 December 2011

Description
This session brought together researchers with interests in
modelling, optimisation and decision theory in ecological systems.
Ecological was interpreted to include epidemiology, and papers
with a focus on conservation biology and/or stochasticity were
particularly welcome.
Organizers
Joshua Ross, Nigel Bean, Phil Pollett and Peter Taylor
Papers
All papers were refereed by two anonymous reviewers and one of four
session editors.
A selection of papers from this session appeared as a
special issue of Ecological Modelling
