We describe the development of a collocation code, bvp4c, for solving two-point boundary value problems for ordinary differential equations. Theoretical results about the behavior of residuals are used to devise robust schemes for error estimation and mesh selection. Facilities available in MATLAB make it possible to solve an unusually large class of problems with a strikingly simple user interface. | |
