If you discover a fire, chemical spill, etc:

· Sound the `break glass’ alarm.

· Phone security.

· Alert those nearby, and the Floor Warden.

· If safe to do so contain any fire with the correct extinguisher.

Evacuate on hearing the evacuation alarm or if instructed

· The lecturer should direct the class to the nearest exit. People should wait at the designated assembly point.

· Do not use lifts.

· The lecturer should arrange to close windows and doors if it is safe to do so.

· Return only when the all clear is sounded.
