``It is remarkable that a science which began with the consideration of games of chance should have become the most important object of human knowledge.''
Pierre Simon, Marquis de Laplace, Théorie Analytique des Probabilités

Welcome to the Probability Web

The Probability Web is a collection of probability resources on the World Wide Web (WWW). The pages are designed to be especially helpful to researchers, teachers, and people in the probability community.

The Probability Web was conceived by Phil Pollett at the University of Queensland, who maintained it from October 1995 to February 2001. It is now being maintained by Bob Dobrow. Every effort will be made to keep these pages up-to-date. If you have any information, comments, or suggestions for improvement, or if you know of a probability resource on the Web that you don't see here, please e-mail me. Enjoy!
