This is the homepage outlining the Mathematics Educational projects carried out in the Discipline of Mathematics at the University of Queensland.

Aims:

To apply the theory of teaching and learning to the practice of the Discipline
To conduct and promote research in mathematics education
To strengthen connections between disciplines within the University
To cooperate and interact with other mathematics departments, both within Australia and abroad
To organize an active programme of seminars to enhance research opportunities in the field
To increase the profile of education in mathematics
To attract research students.

On-going projects in the Discipline of Mathematics include the The first year learning centre and Maths space.
