Final Examination
The final examination is scheduled by the University; we get no say at all as to when it will be held. Also, we are not allowed to let anyone sit the exam at any time apart from the one officially scheduled by the University. There is no point asking us to do so. The exam is worth 55% of your grade for MATH1040 students (and 50% for MATH7040 students), will run for 120 minutes, and in addition there will be 10 minutes perusal time. More details are given in the course profile. With the exception of the Casio fx-82 series, all calculators must have an official "Approved" label attached. Graphical calculators (multi-line display) may not be used. See http://www.uq.edu.au/myadvisor/exam-calculators for more details. The exam will cover the entire semester’s content with an emphasis on the work not examined in the mid-semester exam. The exam is out of 105. Approximately 20 marks are from the content examined in the mid-semester exam. If you need help with exam preparation, the PASS leaders will be very happy to help you out and you may also wish to access the Maths First Year Learning Centre. |
