Abstract

In recent years a precise link has been established between integrable models and the spectral theory of certain ordinary differential equations defined in complex domain. The simplest example relates the spectrum of the harmonic oscillator to the free fermion point of the massless sine-Gordon model. This talk will sketch the correspondence and describe how it has been used to prove a reality conjecture in PT-symmetric quantum mechanics.
