ALGEBRA AND COMBINATORICS SEMINAR Tuesday 26 August 2008, 2pm in Priestly 641 Geoff Martin, Maths, UQ Embeddings of triple systems Abstract One score, a baker's dozen and three years ago, Curt Lindner formulated a conjecture on embeddings of triple systems. It states that every partial triple system of order u has an embedding in a complete triple system of order v where v≥2u+1 and there exists a triple system of order v. I will give a (very) easy overview of the partial results we have obtained on this problem. All welcome.
